My Name is Laurie Pocock and I’m a versatile Electro - Mechanical Project /Production/Design Engineer with who has with considerable experience of leading edge technology. I have the ability to quickly get the heart of a problem and have the tenacity to see a project through to completion.

Most recently I have been working as for Astrium as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer on communication and Global Positioning Satellites. 

Previous to that I designed Acoustic Enclosures and Filters for vacuum applications at Edwards High Vacuum. The Acoustic Enclosure is now in production, and is novel in its design in as much has it has no fixings, it bettered the competition for acoustic performance and cost. Click Here

 I started LP Flex in 1998 supplying state of the art electronic assemblies to design and development houses. As the sole director I was heavily involved in all management aspects of the business including tight control of the finances, and project management ensuring on time deliveries.

 Previous to that I had worked for IBM for nearly 30 years as a Senior Associate Engineer and where I was involved lead roles on a number of diverse projects in rolls including:-

Having successfully completed a contract with Astriun,  I am now looking for similar contract.  I am adaptable and would relish a challenge outside of engineering. I do have my own transport, and would be prepared to work away from home, but my rate would have to reflect the additional expenses incurred.
